  • Impressive, that's the word.

    At Woodio.ch, we're trained to hear, repair and review vintage amplifiers, Pioneer is something we know. We don't have lots of gear younger than 20 yo on the bench. This is an exception.

    First, this weighs a ton, the build quality is very good, everythng inside is separated, isolated, well built. Outside, a massive construction made of real aluminium knobs, aven the top cover is heavy.

    This amplifier is a Class D with a power of 2x90W (4 Ohms). The DAC is the very well known ESS Sabre 32, and the sound calibration was performed by the AIR Studios, which gives an idea of the possibilities of this machine.

    Designed to make the digital sources sound awesome, the phono part is outstanding. Offering a MM/MC capability, the result is great.

    In conclusion, this is an amplifier for the music lovers, looking for a great unit to run their speakers with respect to the support.
